The organizing team of MTB THASSOS, would like to state with regret that after 12 years continuously organization of the MTB THASSOS CUP, is forced to cancel at least for this year that race also the mountain running race YPSARION PATH. The reason for this not so easy decision, is the big fire of the previous September, which burned the biggest part of the mtb route(over the 80%) and part of the YPSARION PATH, so as a result the image they have our visitors friends for the routes does not reflect the reality in the slightest from the current situation. Moreover, the biggest part of the track roads of the region has been destroyed by the rains so the approach to the summit is not possible. As an organization, therefore respecting all those who want to participate as we do over the years, we considered that it is better to let the nature return first. The Tour of Thassos decided to be transferred, on Sunday April 30, 2017 and on Saturday 29 April to be organized the 2nd STONE BRIDGE fun mountain running 12km.

TOUR OF THASSOS
This is the cyclical crossing of the island via the perimetric national road. The race is open for all cyclists, but conducted with the permission and supervision of the Greek Cycling Federation. The impressive route of 92 kilometers has its major part near to the sea. The first 60 km athletes are moving together (peloton) under the supervision of the race clerk and the free is given after the village Potamia for the rest of the distance. As finishing time limit is defined 5 hours from the beginning, which will take place at 12.00 am for the 8th consecutive year from San Antonio beach.
